Downtown LA has one of the most dog-loving communities in the city. The DTLA Dog Walking Club, hosted by FitPals Los Angeles, brings it together with trainer-led community pack walks through the streets of downtown.
What a community pack walk looks like
These aren’t typical dog meetups. Every event is a structured walk led by FitPals trainers, with training stops along the way. Dogs get exercise and socialization in a controlled setting, and owners pick up tips they can use on their own walks.
Supporting local businesses
Many walks start or finish at a local DTLA business, often with a post-walk hangout or brunch. It’s our way of connecting the downtown dog community with the neighborhood businesses that welcome them.
Supporting LA rescues
Raising awareness for rescue is a big part of the club. Events have supported Los Angeles rescues like Big Dog Energy LA, helping adoptable dogs get more visibility and the second chance they deserve.
Who can join
Dogs that are friendly with other dogs and people and comfortable on a leash are a great fit. Spots are limited and events often fill up, so register early. If an event is full, join the waitlist.
What to bring
- A properly fitted collar or harness with an ID tag, and a standard leash
- Water for your dog
- Poop bags
- Dog shoes on hot days
